Badam Milk- Jainism Dessert

badam means “almond” and “kesar” means “saffron”. this is a milk full of “almond” paste and “saffron”. this badam flavored milk is very rich and energetic drink for summer. and the wonderful flavor of saffron enhance its taste.

  • 1/2 cup blanched almonds(bheege huye)
  • 2 cup full cream milk
  • 30 gms almond
  • 20 gms cashew nuts
  • 30 gms pistachios
  • 1/4 tsp mace (jawitri)
  • 2-3 strands of kesar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar

  • finely chopped 8-10 blanched almonds.
  • in a pan add milk and stir it continuously till it gets halved.
  • make a paste of the rest of the almonds and add it to the milk to make it more thicker.
  • prepare a mixture from pistachios, cashew nuts, jawitri, kesar, cardamom powder.
  • add this mixture to the milk, also add sugar to it.
  • serve hot or chilled.
